1GB as they thought...or is 4.7 1gb and 5.5 2 gig, or both the same? Any confirmation anywhere?

It has all but been confirmed the 5.5 may have a slightly higher clock speed but has NO NEED for extra RAM... and so, maximizing profits AND ease of assembly (not needing 2 different CPU sets), I would bet a sizable amount both will have 1GB.

Sorry to all of the "if it doesn't have 2GB I'm leaving" folks...

Don't let the badass phone hit you on the way out the door

:p

There's no way to know beforehand?

Does anyone think the 6+ has 2GB?

I am almost certain that it will remain at 1GB for both models. They would've mentioned a change today.

I can't recollect Apple ever citing or publishing the RAM packaged in an iPhone, ever. It's usually third parties such as iFixit or Anandtech who do the snooping.

why would they put 2gb when they know people will line up for it regardless. ram isn't a big issue on the iphone anyway, it sucks on the ipad

And the retina mini. Which is almost the same size as the 6. So you're telling me 1gb won't crash safari when several tabs are used? Lies.

Don't think ram is a big deal with iphone. ipad different story..

iPhone 6 plus has almost 300% more pixels then the iPhone 5s. That is almost as many as the iPad. If you think it did not affect the 5s(which it did), it will definitely show on the iPhone 6 Plus.

never tried to mini since i have the air, n it sucks on my air. i did switched browser and never touched safari again.

Even at there respective PPI the iPad Mini Retina is moving around 34% more pixels then an iPhone 6+. Thats relatively significant.

I do question how future proof moving forward with 1 gb of RAM from this point in time will be though.

Disappointed it's still only one gigabyte. Good phone if you're going to be on a contract and trading it out in a year. Not so good to buy outright. Will be obsolete before you get your money out of it.
