I have 3.5 Gigs of RAM in my Dual 2Ghz G5 - when I was running Tiger it showed up. Now with Leopard the 2 of the slots show as empty (they are 1 Gig sticks)

Has anyone else had this problem or did my ram go bad?

If you have a lifetime warranty on the memory, call.

But it isn't unusual for an OS update to tighten up on memory specs slightly rendering some memory dead.

Interesting. I have (had) 8GB ram in my Mac Pro. I installed leopard and later discovered that one chip was red-lighted on the ram riser. Looking in the system info I found that the 2 x 2gb chips were showing up as only 2 x 1gb.

No errors, just red light on the riser and not registering proper size.

I shipped them out for replacement. I never thought it related to leopard but who knows....
