Hi all. I have a question. I currently have a blacbook cd with 1.5gigs of ram. seeing how ram is relatively cheap these days, would i see much of an improvement going from 1.5 to 2? will the dual channel help out alot or is it not worth it.

currently i have 197162 page ins and 808 pageouts but if i were to use parallels or google earth, that number would drastically go up for both sides

any rec's?

It's a good idea but don't expect a great gain. I went from 1.5 to 2.0 GB and I just see a few less page outs.

It can never hurt to have more RAM, but i don't know that you actually need it.

yea i am just debating if its worth the 60 or so bucks for little improvement. that could be like gas money haha

for those with 2gigs, when you run parallels, i take it you still get a significant number of pageouts right?

Using apps like Parallels or good ol' Rosetta will benefit of having extra RAM.

IMHO if you can upgrade for little money, just do it.
