Hey everyone,

I just bought a 4 gig kit from new egg for my macbook pro 2.4 core 2 duo early 2008 running 10.6.3. I installed the ram and it ran fun. Went through some stressing and everything was smooth.

This morning, I was watching a flash video and my mac froze and did the SoS beeps. I force shut it down, turn it back on, and I get the 3 beeps which mean "bad ram". I switch out this ram for my old 2 gig kit and it runs fine. I then replace it again with the 4 gig's. It runs fine now!

My question is, is this normal? Could the Ram be "dying" or does Ram just go out all at once. Should I get this replaced while it is still under warranty? I don't want to send it back in for them to not be able to re create the problem.
Thank you!

Sounds like the RAM was seated all the way. Make sure it is in there tight and give it another day or two. If it happens again, return it.
