Ram for Late 2006 or Mid 2007 Macbook?

I feel completely blind when I look at computer spec names sometimes, so I need help confirming if this is the correct RAM for either the late 2006 or mid-2007 Macbooks. I'm buying it for my sister for Xmas since her current laptop has only 1 GB of RAM, but she's unsure which year she has. I don't have access to her laptop. Anyway, would this be the correct RAM I would be getting her? I think the max for her Macbook is 4 GB.

That's the right type of RAM.

If her computer was introduced in late 2006 [Macbook 2,1] it will only recognize 3 gigs of RAM. If she has a late 2007 model [Macbook 3,1] it will recognize all 4 gigs. Either way, great gift.

Cool, thanks for the info! Yeah, her computer runs really slow and I know she's not the type to close programs she isn't using ("Sister, why are ALL these programs open?!"). But very cool, good looking out.
