Hi, just wondered if the RAM for the previous model would work in the new model and if anyone has tried this?

I didn't fancy the £320 for the 8GB when I ordered and now I'm waiting for delivery trying to get everything in place for the move over to the new machine.

So if anyone has a good suppliers of RAM (UK)could they share a link please. And a good price for 8GB RAm for Macbook pro.

Lloyd. :apple:

thanks for supporting my suspicions on the RAM type.

Does anybody (I'm sorry if this has been covered before) know of any good retailers of MAC Ram in the UK?

Why don't they use the higher speed Ram? Can you put higher speed ram in and have it make a difference?

Are we sure about that? I thought I read something about the i17 chip supporting 1333? Of course, I cannot remember if that was the mobile i7 and I also have no idea if a limit is set by the OS or other hardware/chipsets. ;)
