RAM for MBP and Mini?

Hi, i have MBP 2.0 and Mini core duo, both standard config. Means 1Gb RAM for MBP and 512MB RAM for the mini. I want to upgrade both's RAM. Can i just buy two 1Gb RAMs for the MBP so that the MBP have 2Gb RAM and move the standard 1Gb RAM to the mini? Do they have the same type of memory?
I heard that mini's memory are 2x256MB, is MBP's memory 1x1Gb or 2x512MB? Also what brand of RAM do you guys suggest? Thanks

The RAM is compatible w/ each machine as far as i can tell, I see no issues in moving it from one machine to the other.

Not sure how your location affects you but I ordered a 1GB chip from OWC
