Hello, I am new to the forum.

I have a 15" MBP 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I am planning on upgrading my ram from 1 GB that I currently have to 3GB (according to what I read this is the maximum).

I was trying to decide between two companies but since I have never bought RAM for my machine before, I wanted to receive some input and opinions regarding this two options that I'm looking at:

Crucial - http://crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=B5845484A5CA7304

RAMJet - http://ramjet.com/macbook.asp

Thank you for your help!

Is this an older MacBook Pro? Because the newer ones have a 4gig capacity. I just upgraded mine using RAM from OWC

Mine is a 2nd Generation MacBookPro, when the Intel Core 2 Duo processors where introduced.

The newer MBPs use a different motherboard if i'm not mistaken, and they can have up to 4 GB or RAM.
