It's either the wrong RAM or it's not installed correctly including being not fully seated. When you say it won't start up, does it make any sounds at all, if not then check the power cable.

Hello,

The Imac make's a strange sound and do not start up!
After installing the original RAM he works again!

This is the RAM i bought
KINGSTON APPLE MEMORY 8 GB SODIMM DDR3-1600

And this is my new Imac
3,4-GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost tot 3,9 GHz

So can somebody tell me if i bought the right RAM?

Thanks in advance.

Bruno

You purchased the correct RAM.

I have two hypothesis about what may be going on. First guess is you didn't fully seat the RAM correctly. Make sure you push them in all the way. Second, one or all of the RAM sticks are bad.
