RAM For New MacBook Pro: Brand, Specs, Installation

Hi,
I have never bought RAM before, but I will be buying some if I chose to go with the 2.5ghz or 2.6ghz MBP model.
So, I went to Newegg.com and subsequently, got a little confused. So, here are my questions:

1) Does the brand of memory play any role at all? If so, what is the best brand (e.g. Kensington, Mushkin...)?

2) Are there any special specs the RAM should have in order to be the best, or just be DDR2 667 PC2 5300, (not that I know what any of that means, haha).

3) I usually don't like modifying an Apple computer...I don't know why, I just feel like I'm tainting it somehow. Anyways, is the installation (of 2x2gb) easy / does it void applecare's warranty?

In order for question 1 and 2 I recommend doing a search as it is one of the most often asked questions around these days.

As for question 3, RAM is userchangeable and does not void your warranty, so better suck up that tainted feeling. It's only natural to upgrade a computer when need comes by.
