Im looking to buy a refurbished 2.2ghz macbook pro but want to upgrade ram to 4GB as I'll be working in CS3 and Maya quite regularly. Is upgrading RAM on an MBP difficult and where exactly should I look to find the best bang for the buck? :p

RAM is easy on a MBP - the hard drive is the tricky upgrade.

As for finding RAM - OWC is respectable, and the last time I checked, the 2gb dimms were only $115 or so ($225 for 2x2gb). Also, newegg has G.Skill which is cheap RAM but reliable. Although..their 2gb dimms aren't much cheaper than OWC, so I'd opt for OWC's RAM instead, if I were you.

Upgrading RAM on a MacBook Pro is pretty easy, just removing the battery and taking out a couple screws. As for a RAM suggestion, I've used OCZ RAM before and never had a problem with it, they have 2GB RAM sticks for only $85 each here.
