I recently picked up a dual 1.8 G5 Powermac (the model with 8 RAM slots), and I'm thinking of adding more RAM. I currently have 1.5GB in it right now (2 x 256MB and 2 x 512MB). I'd like to add 2 more 512MB RAM chips for a total of 2.5GB. My questions are...

1. Will I notice a significant increase in performance by going from 1.5GB to 2.5GB of RAM? I am running 10.4 and use it primarily for Final Cut Express and DVD Studio Pro.

2. Does it matter what order I install the RAM? Should I install the 512MB chips before the 256MB ones, or vice-versa? I currently have the 256MB chips in slot one, and the 512MB chips in slot 2. Should the larger chips come first?
