Hello

a friend just installed ram in hi white macbook and when he went to turn it on after installing it the screen won't turn on. The power comes on cause the apple lights up but the screen does nothing. He tried putting the old ram back in but it still does the same thing. Has anybody ever encounter this?

Thanks in advanced
Scott

He needs to make sure that it is pushed in all the way. It may seem that you are forcing it in, but that's what it takes.

When I installed mine I had the same issue. I took them out, reinstalled forcefully, but carefully, and all is well.

I suspected the same thing as well, sometimes I'm too scared that I might break the thing though. I think once it's in place you can't push it any further, but correct me if I'm wrong.

The slots are rather tight. It's easy to think the DIMMs are in all the way, but be a touch out, or out of line.
