I know the issue on weather the 15" does support up to 8Gb RAM has been discussed in the forum before. Since the new 15" is out, and it is claimed that all of the models do support up to 8GB RAM (even the 13" does so now), once again can I confirm with everyone of you who knows out there if the slightly older version of 2.66GHz 15" does support 8Gb RAM or not? I heard something from the WWDC keynote that 64-bits does support more RAM so if this has to do with the bits or the previous version of 2.66GHz does support 8GB RAM officially?

Appreciate for any help from you guys. Thank you very much.

the slightly older 2.66Ghz uMBP DOES support it. As far as i know there is no official word on the slightly older 2.4, the original 2.4, or the 2.53 uMBP's supporting 8GB since WWDC. my guess is that SL will allow them to but again that is just a guess at this point.
