RAM limits.

A very newbie question i know.. BUT, im thinking of upgrading the RAM in my early 2008 2.4ghz. now its eqiupped with the, at the time, standard
1 GB DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz . and computer bus speed is 800mhz
does that mean im limited to buy RAM at 800mhz, or can i the 1066mhz, and does it have to be DDR2?
i know this is computers 101, but just cant find any good advice searhing for this topic... thx

You need DDR2 RAM with 667MHz, but you can go up to 6GB RAM in that MBP. Also know that DDR2 SO-DIMMs have 200 pins, the DDR3 SO-DIMMs have 204 pins, therefore they are not even physically compatible.
