Hi, I have a late 2012 iMac 27" with 2.9 GHz i5 processor an 8 GB of RAM. When researching for upgrading the RAM memory, I noticed the Apple store's RAM is 3 times more expensive as let's say the Crucial brand. I am confused. Is there a major difference in their relative performance or do the generic versions have compatibility issues?

TIA,
Sam

Nope... if it meets the specs it will work. No reason not to get the Crucial.
