I bought a powerbook G4.

The ram is 512 mb but i want to upgrade that.
Is it possible to place two 1gb cards in each slot.

That i have a total of 2gb ram?

Me was told that the max of the powerbook G4 is 1 gb.
Is that true? And when it is true,

is it smart to buy a total of 1gb for the powerbook g4?
Or doesn't make that any difference?
Sorry for the bad english!:D

and thx for helping me!

Memory tells me (and mac tracker confirms) that your pb can take up to 2 gigs, two 1 gig sticks. It should make a big difference over 512 mb.

OK thx,

And is it important to look for ram memory with a high clocktime?
i mean i have a 1,67 ghz. Can i buy memory with more than 1,67 GHz?

thx

1.67 is your CPU clockspeed and has nothing to do with your RAM. Your powerbook can support 2 PC2700 So-DIMMs. Nothing faster will work (or at least be beneficial).
