The M4 iPad with 1 TB has 16 GB of RAM instead of 8 and a slightly faster CPU.

Do you think this will happen this year as well? Will the 1 TB version get 24 or even 32 GB, now that even the regular iPhone will get 12 GB? Of course this is just speculation at this point but do so, please.

I'm so ready for October!

I hope, otherwise it would remove a big incentive for people to get 1TB or more. If Apples pulls a "iPad pro 2020" move (16GB everywhere) the only incentive, for those who don't need that much storage, would be nano texture, which is pretty niche I think.
I would guess/hope they have a 24GB version.
After using iPadOS 26 I have realized that 16GB is necessary for me to avoid reloads so I have replaced my 2018 11" 1TB with a M1 11" 2TB and my M1 12.9 base model with a 2TB M1. My M4 is stuck at the base, but that one will probably be replaced by a M5, and if we have a 24GB version, maybe that one.

I don’t think the regular iPhone will get 12 though. Only the Pro and maybe Air version. I don’t see the iPad going beyond 24 to be honest.
