Apps and safari tabs reload way more frequently on a 6s plus compared to iOS 9 and 10 for exemple. OP : I didn't install iOS 12 on my phone, but I did on my air 2, and so far it seems the same as iOS 11 in terms of app and safari tab refresh.

D dsjr2006 macrumors regular Jun 29, 2007 114 12 Metro Detroit Jun 5, 2018 #8 I think the problem is limited ram on pre-A9 devices. This is rarely an issue for me with 6S, iPad Pro or iPhone X. Apps and sites are using more memory than ever so old hardware will struggle regardless of OS version.
