I've got the last PowerPC PB G4 made, the revision with DDR2 PC4200 RAM, and the funky ratio, higher resolution screen (1440x960).

Does DDR2 in my PB suffer from the same performance hit with miss matched memory pairs as the MB and MBP? If it does, how much of a performance hit is it, really? I've currently got 1x512MB and 1x1GB installed. I'm going to make this PB stretch until another MBP revision and Leopard and am thinking of upgrading to 2 GB RAM. Is it worth the $58 or so dollars to give myself an additional 512 and possibly a performance gain?
