HI, I have this iMac 07 mid 24" with 4GB ram, 320GB 7200 rpm normal hard drive, running Mac OS X LION 10.7.4

My question is:

1. Do I need to add the ram to 6GB? (If I do, I realized only one company is selling the 4x2 6GB, anywhere else I can find it?)

2. Do I need to install the SSD? or Hybrid Hard drive?

The reason why I am asking these two questions:

I use VMWARE FUSION to install windows xp for playing some games with only 512MB ram or pentium 4 CPU requirement.

After I turn the Vmware on, my "free memory" app shows that I only have about nearly 0 ram free (sometimes 50mb or 30 or less)

The next few pictures can show the difference between using vmware or no.

First one: just started iMac and using google chrome. (up to 2 GB free ram)

Second: When the vmware is running.(Nearly 0 free ram)

Third: completely turn off vmware. (much less than it should be with no vmware turning on)

However, after I press the free memory button, it gives out about 700 mb free memory. I still worry about the bad condition when I use Vmware.

Please help me, should I upgrade my iMac? Thank you so much.
