Hi, i'm abit of a n00b when it comes to Mac's/PC's, so this question might seem stupid lol... i just wanted to ask a quick question regarding RAM.

I have a 24" ... 2.4Ghz Alu iMac (1 GB Standard Ram from Apple)

Today i bought a 2 Gig stick of Kingston RAM, so that takes me upto 3 GB in total.

I've just checked my system stats and they say FREE: 1.67 GB. At this moment i wasn't running any program but Safari.

What does WIRED, ACTIVE and INACTIVE ram mean? Just curious..
