hi there, I just got my macboook (blackbook, 1gb ram) and I think I'm gonna buy the 2gb ram sticks from crucial, my question is:

Will 2gb increase the overall computer speed (open applications faster and working faster while using multiple applications) or just improve the speed while working with multiple applications at the same time?

thanks:D

Loading and launching, as well as multitasking will improve. 1GB and 2GB are big leaps, and you'll definitely see a noticable difference. Upping my computer's RAM from 512 to 1.5GB was like night and day for launch times and application performance. With more resources to use, apps tend to agree with you more, and do as they're told. :)

Overall zippiness will increase. And it will stay zippy with a lot of programs open. Believe me, you will very much enjoy 2gb of RAM in your MB.
