ive got a mcabook pro, older 2.0 processor, and i want/need new ram. ive only got 512 and its killing me. so my question is, do the two slots of ram have to be the same size? and do they have to be the same brand? i was pretty sure they didnt, but a friend wasnt so sure. so, who knows the answer?

Ram doesn't have to be the same type or size, but the computer runs more smoothly when it is. Ram is pretty cheap, so just max it out with the same type when you have the money
