Hello

What is the most RAM i can put into a 2006 Macbook 2.1

At the moment, i have 2 GB, but I have a solid offer to upgrade to 4... but only if the Macbook can handle it, of course.

Thanks in advance,
Carlo

I donno if you need anymore specs:
13.3 inch
1.83 processor
60 HD

The 2.1 (core 2 duo) can hold 4GB but only utilize 3GB of it. It can be noted that having a 4GB set (2 x 2GB) has better benchmark scores over installing a 2GB + 1GB. -GDF

The 2.1 macbook can take more ram, but the op has a 1.83 macbook.

The late '06 2,1 was available in a 1.83 & 2.0GHz which was the same speeds offered in the first gen May '06 core duo model. It is that first gen that has the 2GB limitation.
