Hi

Recently one of the Ram ports in my Powerbook G4 (.....I know) stopped working. I know you guys aren't psychics, but do you have a ballpark estimate, as to how much trouble I am in? Is the motherboard messed up?

Thank you for the link. Was not aware of the program - unfortunately my mac is not in the (then) covered serial number range. Will try to complain, though.

Would anyone have some knowledge about how big a deal it would be to get it fixed?
 
You will probably need to have the logic board replaced. It will most likely be $500-$600 for the part plus labor.
 
Had a feeling it would be bad. So in other words -- get a new machine...
