RAM swap question

hey guys quick question I'm looking to upgrade the RAM on my UMBP 15" to 8gb... I got one of the first ones that can take 8gb back in late March

now for my question:

I bought a 2.4ghz UMB 13" for my girlfriend when they were first released in October 2008 can I take the 4gb of RAM from my MBP and give it to her?
