I can't seem to get my 1600mhz RAM to actually... ya know... run at 1600mhz in Windows 8. According to CPU-z, it's around 798. I thought that this was wrong, but it says the same thing when I use geekbench.

Well, okay, it rounds p to 799mhz.

Is this normal?

Is this nothing to worry about?

What you're seeing is correct. CPU-z shows the memory clock speed. It's DDR (double data rate) RAM, so the actual memory speed is twice the clock speed, therefore 1600MHz.

For complete info about your system, including benchmarks, go to the cpuid website via the link in CPU-z, and download PC Wizard. It will show both the clock and RAM speeds.

Okay, I was just paranoid because... well, I'm paranoid.

Thanks.
