I have aluminum imac 2.0Ghz which comes standard with 1gb of ram. I bought a 2 GB stick couple of weeks ago. I installed the 2gb stick in the second slot, leaving the original 1gb stick in it's place. So in other words I got 1gb stick in bank 0 and 2gb stick in bank 1. Does it make a difference which slot(bank) I stick the bigger stick of ram in? My system registered it just fine, but I was just curious if there is any performance difference if I switch the two around. Thanks.

No, it shouldn't matter. You will have the slightly faster dual channel access for 1 GB of each DIMM, and the memory range above 1 GB on the larger DIMM will be used in single-channel mode, independent of the placement.
