Hey folks!

I've got a MBP from late 2009 with 2GB of RAM in it. I've been waiting for prices to drop before upgrading to 8GB of RAM, but some have suggested that the prices will never actually drop...that we might be at the bottom right now...and that with the passage of time, and the drop in demand, the cost will end up rising since RAM manufacturers will be focused on newer chips/machines.

Any thoughts?

I just bought a new MBP and went with the 4GB instead of 8GB in order to wait for the prices to dip a little. I see them going down a bit but not drastically. When that happens I'll just sell the 4GB I have and use that money towards the 8GB replacement.
