ram upgrade needed

Hi

Could someone please tell me what ram to get? I want to upgrade my mbp myself to a 8gb ram. Bought the mbp in december of 2009.

DDR3 1066mhz. 8gb is the max.

It's going to be 1066 MHz DDR3. Get a dual-channel 8GB kit. Reputable brands are all over the place, get whichever you can for the cheapest price via Amazon, Newegg, or other vendors.

Dual-channel information can be found here. It's basically two sticks of RAM that are the same being ran in two slots.

You can do it yourself, it's quite simple.
