Hello,

Would anyone be able to help me on this,

I want to upgrade the RAM of my 18.2 IMac and I have these memories reference :

HMA82GS7AFR8N-UH SK Hynix
2x16GB PC4-2400T Memory Module
DDR4
SODIMM
ECC
1R

The difference I see between these and Curcial "standard" upgrade kit is the ECC (non-ECC on crucial) and the single rank.

Before dismounting my screen I would like to be sure that it will work, do you know if ECC or non ECC can be compatible ?

Thanks, Alban

Your iMac does not support ECC memory. Don't waste your time trying it.
Get non-ECC memory. The Crucial memory is good.

I may have an other question, I've seen that on IMac 27" 5k, 2666Mhz can fit (vs 2400 in standard), is it also the case for the Imac 21.5 4k 2017 ?

Maybe, but I recommend that you choose to look at the published specs when replacing or upgrading the RAM. Some sites, such as Crucial.com, or Macsales.com, are usually considered to be trustworthy, and have good tech support to help you out if something goes wrong with memory that should work. And, you should expect a good outcome with known-good memory suppliers. The Crucial web site, for example, should be a good place to look for the correct RAM to use. (Don't put your trust in some random "expert" on a so-called support forum :D )
Finally, if you are going to the trouble of replacing RAM on a 4K iMac, I think it's a good plan to make sure that the memory is correct specs, so you don't have to take your iMac apart a second time, just to replace/reseat the memory.

Thanks for having taken the time to answer, I went for Crucial hardware and will as well replace the Hard drive to a 1 To SSD.
Have a good day !
