Hi all, i've recently bought 2x 2gb sticks of ram to upgrade my mbp from 2gb to 4gb, but the problem i've got is the screws holding the ram door are near impossible for me and my dad to undo.

i've got the correct size phillips screwdriver, tried using pliers, but still no luck and im being careful not to bugger the threads on the screws.

i was wondering if i book an appointment at my local apple store with a genius if they would be able to fit the ram? or at least attempt to because i've bought the ram from a 3rd party?

has anyone else got any suggestions and its a little annoying that ive got the ram, but cant use it :(

thanks for your help

What a pain in the *rse! (note UK spelling ;) )

For hard-to-turn screws I use a jeweller's screwdriver, apply pressure to keep it seated in the screw's slots and then turn it using a pair of needle-nose pliers.

Good luck!

:)

thanks for the advise but i've tried that and they still wont budge, would it be worth taking it in to an apple shop and let a genius take a look?
