Just some questions before I perform my first ram upgrade on my mbp.

First off, I am planning on buying this ram

Is this the right one?

Second, what tools do I need to do it? Is is just a size 00 Phillips head? If so, has anyone used this one?

Or does anyone have a particular screwdriver that they like.

Thanks for the help!

Yes, BUT DO NOT BUY IT THERE.... you can buy it on newegg for $100 with free shipping.

As far as tools, look at the screws on the bottom of your MBP, you just need one to fit those, those are the only screws you have to remove. The ram is accessible after you remove the bottom.

The only reason I was looking at Crucial was because I was told it is better quality than OWC and that OWC is "cheap" ram. Any truth to this?

Not true. OWC is very reliable brand, very popular among Mac owners. Their customer service is brilliant too. You can't go wrong with OWC
