Hello!

I am looking to upgrade the ram on my late 2012 iMac. The cheapest I've found it (16GB - 8GBx2) in the UK is here and as far as I can work out the specs all look dead right, although it does not state it specifically supports iMacs...

It's a saving of £17 over crucial... so just about worth it!!

http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/lis...z Quad-Core Intel Core i7 (27-inch, Late 2012)

Is there any good reason I should not go ahead with the purchase?

Any help appreciated!

Cheers

I can not se anything wrong with the RAM from Hynix, but Crucial is well known to work well with Mac. I would go for Crucial!

;)

Apple's OEM RAM is Samsung, Hynix and Elpida.

Note that some Kingston sticks actually use Elpida chips.
