I ordered 4GB directly from Crucial for £58 including next day delivery.

Just got to wait for the MacBook to arrive now!

Still waiting for the MacBook to arrive, but installing it into my mates it's POP.

Get a coin to remove the batter, then you'll see a slim silver piece of metal, with 3 or 4 tiny screws in, remove them and the metal and you'll see the RAM and HDD to the side.

Pull the levers for the RAM and it pops out, then slot in the new stuff - 5 min job if you're competant, 10 if you're not! lol

STG 59 .. goodness .. that's amazing. Apple wants S$1100 for that which is ... err .. thinks ... STG400 or something.

beardboy, do you have a discount code or anything to get the 4gb ram off crucial for that price? its coming up over £70 for me.

cheers.

No discount code. I oredered it on 29th January, so maybe the prices have risen.

i have just brought and installed 4 gig from them, was just about 75£..

well worth the upgrade. My macbook pro was slowing down alot when i was running 'Mac Par' to extract and repair very large groups of files. I am doing the same now and so far so good, no lag on anything at the mo.

Very happy and would advise anyone thinking to do so,

Or tho i must note it has not really speed up my boot time at all but i am happy with the 60 odd secs it takes
