Hi, what would be the fastest RAM upgrade for my late 2011 macbook pro ?

Thanks.

16GB. But the 1600mhz will barely make any difference over the 1333mhz. That's why I'm suggesting this to everyone, it's 16GB DDR3 (for the current MacBook Pros) running at 1333mhz for only 99 dollars. I expect the price to continue to drop, because last week it went from 129 USD to 99 USD. Here's the link for Amazon: http://trdd.us/pn
Best of luck!

newegg.com usually has the best prices not to say its always the best but they are pretty competitive in their prices

wont matter to the answer but whats a mid 2011? wasnt there only 2 releases in 2011 early and late?

my bad i have an early 2011.

trying to get it from amazon since im a prime member. plus newegg charges extra tax for me since im in CA.

what brand would u suggest?

im confused, which should i get 1866mhz , 1600mhz or 1333MHz?

all brands are pretty much the same

Crucial, Cosair and Kingston being 3 of the more well know, and most of not all come with lifetime warranties so always keep your orignal or backup RAM so if you ever do have to send your RAM away your Mac still has a set to use

personally i dont see anything wrong with 1333MHz obviously those others have a high speed but Im not sure if the typical user can tell the difference

Sure! Here's the link for 8GB from a reputable company. Reviews are terrific, and I know a lot of people here use this brand. Best of luck. Be sure to just holler if you have any more questions! http://amzn.to/HmsOr7
