So I decided to buy a 1gig of ram for my 12 inch powerbook which it currently holds 256. Anyway, so I order it from my school and they say it's going to be 150 and free instal. And then I get a call 2 days later saying that it's going to be 200. That the manufacture bumped the price. Well, I can't afford that, so I went to datamem.com since it seemed that most of you guys suggested datamem over crucial. I ordered the 1 gig and today I got this message:

Hello,
The item you ordered is backordered with no ETA.
Regards,
Sales

That's all the email said. Nothing more. Does anyone know from experience how long this typically takes? I need more ram. I've been using this laptop for 2 years with only 256 and if I see the beach-ball one more time I'm going to crack!

It shouldn't take too long, thats probably an automated message, but see if you can get a refund or a descount because of your wait. I got my 1GB chip off eBay for 80eur last year, though I do reccommend Crucial.com for RAM.
