Seems like iOS 18 by its self use more then half of the ram on your device. I not sure if this device monitor app I am using is accurate but, if it is it’s ridiculous how much ram is being used. Anyone else having this experience. I am using 15 pro max.

I have not tested how much RAM iOS is using on my phone, but I don’t think that information by itself is helpful. You would have to know how iOS handles RAM and what is the memory pressure like in macOS? I think this is the case where just knowing one data point isn’t very helpful.

Of course we could speculate that this has something to do with AI because the newer iPhones are coming out with AI and also more RAM

Yeah, I didn’t put much detail on it because I wanted to see if anybody was actually testing ram . I haven’t did any detailtest on ram in a long time I just recently downloaded device monitor back to my device so I haven’t used it in a while so this was for people that actually is testing ram so I understand everything else. I just decided not to put all those details on there. I’m not even sure if this is a real reading of the ram, that’s why I post the questions. Have anybody had the issue to see if anybody have tested or had notice anything but, I appreciate your response.

for what’s worth: memory used on iPadOS 18.x is absolutely similar to iPadOS 17.x - that seems to hold for my iPhone SE too. you can use e.g. Usage to monitor the RAM use (the free version allows for that already).

For me, it's nothing which I am concerned about. As long as my iDevice(s) is working well, I am not worried about how much RAM it is using at any given time. I've also never experienced an issue that I ever thought could be related to high RAM usage.
