The battery percentage doesn't matter. It could be 85%, 70% or 43%, the watch just shuts down and refuses to restart. It wakes up only when connected to the charger - It starts with either the apple logo or charging cable arranged like donkey kong screen.

Within couple of minutes it gets back to the percent when it shut down as if nothing happened. Happens 3-4 times a day. Being at home, it is not that big an issue but this would make the watch unusable outdoors.

I was planning to get the AW 7 during Christmas. If this is a known issue with AW3, it is okay but if it has happened to newer models, it would be a cause of worry.

Your Watch series 3 is a few years old, and probably the battery is failing. I'm with you...I'd wait for a new series 7.

I got this in 2019. 2 years is a lot in tech but I'd like gadgets from top companies to last at least 3-4 years. Fingers crossed for good improvements on AW7

The battery is the most consumable part of any modern gadget and since the actual capacity of the battery is really small in general it goes through more charge cycle quickly. That’s one of the reasons it’s showing that behaviour.

I’m on the latest beta. My watch must keep rebooting without me noticing. I don’t get my notifications and when i look at my watch it’s locked and have to enter pin.
