Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this "issue". I am currently setting up my brand new iPhone X that was ordered from Verizon. I went to log-in to icloud.com using Safari on my phone, and when I selected the "Open Find My iPhone" option, a random Apple ID email was pre-populated in the field.

I have never seen this email address, and have no idea whom it belongs to. Any ideas as to why there is a random Apple ID pre-populated on my new iPhone X? I have already used my iCloud to restore a back-up from my iPhone 6S, but I'm a little unsettled that this random Apple ID is showing up when I go on to icloud.com.

Thanks!
Opal

I think the app remembers the last Apple ID used. Have you ever allowed a friend to track one of their devices using the “Find My iPhone” app on your old phone?
