My MBP is only ~4months old and I noticed that sometimes a round patch of displayed text is displayed bold. If I select the text, the font site is back to normal. I see this most in browsers and Dreamweaver CS3.

Has this happened to anyone else? The next time it happens I will post a screen shot.

If that is the case, how best to document and address with Apple? Is there a check I can run?

Please post a screenshot and take a picture of the screen.

My first guess would be that it's signs of the GPU failing

Jumping to worst case are we?

Well if it only happens on and off, I don't think there's too much Apple will do since it doesn't meet the criteria listed here, but if it does get worse Apple will replace it.

like I said, my first guess, but I'm far from being an expert, I'm sure others could diagnose the problem better than I

EDIT-but I don't think that's exactly the worse case scenario since Apple would replace it and it's a known defect, but do you have any problems while playing videos or games (if you do game)?
