Random but, How Can I Create a Shipping Label for Someone to Mail ME a Package?

Hi community. Super random question but hopefully at least one person within this forum can help.

My buddy in NYC has an Apple Watch Edition they want to send to me in Los Angeles. They have the Apple Watch already boxed up but doesn't have a shipping label. He can't pay for postage at the moment due to low funds but he said he can easily take the package to the post office and send it out to me if the postage has been paid for.

I suggested sending him $16 via PayPal and therefore he can use those funds to purchase and slap on a shipping label but we cannot go that route as well.

At the moment it seems our 2 options would be for him to either send the package to me as COD Cash on Delivery, but I hear that's more expensive.

Ideally I would want to create and purchase a shipping label on my end here in Los Angeles that has my LA address as the destination and his NYC address as the return address and then send him the shipping label for him to print out and put on the shipping box itself.

Any real suggestions?

You can easily do that on USPS.com and email him the PDF label.

That's the website where I was kinda hung up. When creating the account won't it state my home address as the return address since I'm creating it?

No, use your buddy's as the return address. I would have to log in, but I believe you can have multiple addresses.

If you create a USPS shipping label from PayPal, you can edit the return address if you like and you'll get the reduced electronic rate too:

https://www.paypal.com/shiplabel/create/

Then when it wants to print the label, send the print job to save as PDF and send the PDF to your friend.
