I'd like to upgrade my iphone through a new 2 year contract through at&t at an apple store(don't wan't to wait for delivery) and haven't seen that option through the apple site.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Who is your carrier? If it's AT&T, then you can only upgrade using AT&T NEXT.

? No but even then would a NEXT upgrade take place at an at&t store or apple store? I just want to order it and pick it up on my way home.

If you're on AT&T, that is correct. You can buy the iPhone outright, upgrade via NEXT, or upgrade via the iPhone Upgrade Program.

Set up an "upgrade" appointment at the local at&t spot. Hopefully they have them in stock
