random crap appears in trash can

random crap appears, usually files ive just opened with wierd suffixes.
also some thing i download.
ive just repaired permissions this morning, also ran all the scripts.
so, its non of the above

Sometimes programs will dump caches, or OSX dumps what is in RAM into the trash, particularly after reboots or logouts.
I think MS Office keeps temp files for autosaving that are occasionally cleared too.

I wouldn't worry about it.
