This is a firefox 3 only extension.
Prism is a Mozilla Labs product that create stand alone web app, who runs like a normal app, has its only executable binary, its own place in dock, and independent from any running copy of firefox.

Step by step
1.goto any website (such as google calendar, meebo, etc) choose Tools->convert website to application
2.adjust any parameter you want (still some bug, icon can't be changed in this version)
3.an application will be created on desktop (or application folder, depends on your choice in step 2), this app has all the attribute of a normal app.
4. run the web app, it will open an independent window, just like an normal app.
Im sure not everybody need/like/want it, but its fun.
