random ios 6 problems

1. gmail has stopped pushing emails, and push is no longer a choice in advanced settings.

2. the hotspot now shows up in the main part of the menu and will not go away.

so far i have done, network settings restore, restart, remove recently downloaded apps, and remove and re add emails.
