Random kernel panics

It seems I think ever since the last update my computer will randomly lock up for a couple of seconds, the screen will turn all blue for another couple of seconds, then switch back and everything proceeds normally. It happens not only during WoW, but even when just surfing the internet or talking on Adium.

Is there a way to fix this?

Check Console in the Utilities folder to see if any of the crash logs have any useful information. Which update did you install? What Mac do you have?

If it helps, my dual G5 was beach-balling a ton and taking forever to load after installing the latest security update. I ran some cron scripts (equivalent of using Onyx or Cocktail) and rebooted, and so far it's running a lot smoother. But yeah, the recent Tiger security update alongside the Safari Beta is so far a cocktail for temporary system lock (the odd thing is that it's not processor or RAM, as activity monitor shows next to none in either)...
