Since upgrading to Mavericks I've experienced random loss of my Ethernet Internet connection via Home Plugs. I can't speak for WiFi since when upgrading the RAM on my Mac Mini I dislodged the WiFi plugs from their sockets on the cards . . . and am not going in again to fix that!! Rebooting the computer always fixes the Internet problem for a while but the loss of connection is completely random and unexpected.

The holiday season is really high traffic and your internet provider may the cause of the dropouts. I have a 2013 Mini (OS 10.9) on Gigabit Ethernet and haven't noticed any problems with dropouts nor have I read any complaints other than yours. My only Mavericks bitch is my FW drives no longer sleep...

Thanks. Maybe that's the answer . . . though I wouldn't expect to get back on-line through simply rebooting. Could it be that quick?
