iPod touch Random Power Down

So I've got a 16g iPod Touch, absolutely love it, but lately its been automatically powering down for seemingly no reason. Its happened in the middle of a song and movie that I've been watching, not to to mention while turned off or in sleep mode.

I'm still on 1.1.1 simply because I haven't found a 1.1.3 hack to unlock it yet. Anybody else having the same symptoms as me? I'm tempted to just restore and go to 1.1.3 hoping that will solve the issue but I thought I'd just check here first.

Thats not especially reassuring. I wonder if its a hardware issue then.

Hey,
Me and my friend were sitting in a lesson at school, and she turned round and said "I'd laugh so much if I broke your iPod". I laughed for a bit and so did she, then she said "nah, i would never do that".

Liteally 2 seconds later, my iPod completely powered down. I tried resseting, restarting etc. But it didnt restart for about 5 minutes.

It was so weird... its just completely shut down...

And whats weirder is that we were talking about it breaking when it happened :S
